am I to understand that I can upload files directly from my PC to the forum of my choice or do I have to do the image hosting thing online (what ever the hell that is)? I have been enjoying the broad for sometime now and need your guys's input on my scribbles.

You CAN upload attachments -- but it seems there've been problems lately, as if the board is "full" (JUST of attachments)

So your best bet is to get an image-host. Get a website. They're cheap. Doteasy.com offers free hosting if you get a domain name. Simple.

Then you follow the posting instructions (ie Welcome Section) and type in the URL where your image is located, bracketed by the "Img" tags above (really simple: type the URL in your message, highlight it, then click the Img button... it'll bracket 'em automatically)

congrats on getting a website, your doing better than me in that aspect. On making an avatar, I think you've got too much picture there to condense to a size that small. Sometimes its a good idea to only take part of an image, ie the head, and make an icon from there. I found that it also helps to bump up the contrast a little at that size so its not all blurry looking. I'm glad you posted the actual pic, cuz it gave me a chance to attempt something for you, maybe this will be more to your liking... Image
