So the big turn off is more an imposition and invasion of personal thought space. I can understand that. But sometimes people have a right to say what they want, don't they? I think most of these incidents are just like advertising. It's boggling my brain right now, I'm going to have to stop.

But I think it's also unfair to judge a group on historical actions. I don't hold grudges against all European settlers for killing Native Americans and decades of racism. I don't blame all Germans and Japanese for their WWII crimes. Maybe that comparison is unfair but you really should study/criticize the root teachings of a religion and look for fault in that instead.

Hellboy, I think I understand the joke of that website more if I agree that all politicians are as dirty as the porn industry! But Pres Bush is clearly a self professed Christian, making decisions that depend on the welfare of our country, so it seems appropriate for us to wish him goodwill.

Edited by: gau dog at: 4/15/03 1:47:44 pm

And being from australia i only know a LOT of american laws not ALL of them (yes we have a LOT of american tv shows :P) someone was saying something about you cant be an american president unless you beleive in god, is this true? i mean isnt that a kind of prejudice if it is the case?

I think you got that wrong, Raingrrl. Our big sexual debate in this country is abortion and if it's one thing both sides of the argument can somewhat agree on, it's the use of condoms. As in, yes...use them! Because although abortion is still legal here (although that may end with our current administration), it shouldn't be used as birth control.

Okay...enough of the heavy stuff.
