Nah dog, I be livin in BIZURBANK, str8 up

Burning brides are all right, but they don't totally sock it to me. I know a lot of people who are into them tho. There's a whole bunch of really hipster rockin music right now that I really WANT to like, but I just can't, like Burning Brides, icarus Line, 400 Blows, and Blood Brothers. Man, everyone I meet is just so obsessed with Blood Brothers, but I just don't get it. Meanwhile I tell everyone that Bluebird rocks (and they do, they totally rocked at the sunset junction street fair) and they look at me like i'm an alien

ROXXY> if you're in the LA area, you should come by and play. The guy that busts Sublime also rocks the Slightly Stoopid and Jack Johnson, but I really can't stabnd that stuff myself

Drugsmassacre- I went to a Placebo gig a couple of weeks back. First time they had played Birmingham academy for 8 years. Good gig but they where a few "lighters in the air" moments I could have done without...and guitar changes, after EVERY BLOODY SONG! Little Brian Placebo's a funny fella. Looking more and more like Liza Minelli, every time I see him.

JAM

Edited by: RandyPanTheGoatBoy at: 6/8/03 11:44 am

Just bought Paullelugah (however you spell that) from MC Paul Barmen. That man is insane.

Also call TOMMOROW TODAY from boysetsfire, the last one from ZAO, BLACK & WHITE from Radio Vago, and an uphill battle disc. Felt really good to buy new mucis, it's een a while. Was very tempted to get THE MUSIC today, but I'll wait a bit for this other stuff to settle in. Rocking SOILWORK on the mp3s right now, was bumping UNIDA a second ago. WOOHA

I picked up "Zerospace" by Kidneythieves recently. Cool stuff, and really got me in the mood to work on some sci-fi/cyberpunk writing/drawing.

Somebody mentioned Sponge? Awesomely talented band that never got the recognition they so rightly deserved. "Wax Estatic" still remains one of my favorite albums of all time.

And now I'm gonna be singing that friggin' song all day.

Thanks a lot.

-Brad

Wax Estatic's good....'anastasia' was my favorite off that one, tho i also liked 'drag queens of memphis'. Have to say that i like ROTTING PINATA a lot more that wax estatic tho..

Kidney thieves are pretty good...the singer's really hot. I saw them open up for KMFDM/PIG last summer. That was a good show

The Music album is good, like The Stone Roses with their Led Zep influences cranked up even more and a harder dance sound. The cd's a regular on the playlist

MC Paul Barman. A genius. If yer interested, pick up the newest Masta Ace album, called Disposable Arts. There's a running skit in there where Ace goes to 'hip hop school' and Paul B is his roommate. It's hilarious:

"Jumpin' Jehosephat/and somethin' that goes with that/I'm more funky than a 12 year old yoga mat....oh hey! Come on in...I was just practicin' my freesteez in the mirror.."

Today, picked up the new Grandaddy, new Fountains of Wayne, old Kinks, old Generation X, new Yeah Yeah Yeahs, new Fischerspooner, new Sondoobie.

R.
