I stumbled across this updated front page a couple of days ago. I have never met the woman, but I am continually bowled over by the sheer volumes of her talent.

I mentioned this on a chat a couple of days ago, but it bears repeating here. If there were any justice in the world, some high-falooting muckity muck would let this woman helm her own animated series (kinda like Samauri Jack) based on one of her space babe characters.

Lynne and Chris are the BEST!!!!!!!!

Postby Tiramisue » Wed Aug 06, 2003 10:09 am

Oh wow..... Lynne's new main page is lovely! :D

Dev> Shan!!! You're posting!! Hey, that rocks :D
EVERYONE> Develynia is a wonderful cartoonist!! ^_^

Here's the commissioned drawing Lynne did for me! 'See how much the kitty loves it in the bubble...? /:)

Lynne and Chris both came to the SD sketchbook session at the Marriot and some of us got to see the two of them do some fun drawin'! 'So glad they decided to drop by... i mean, getting to meet them was one of the highlights of the whole 'con for me :)

I watched Lynne draw this from start to finish. I loved this drawing so much... 'so many great shapes..so many kitties!! and then when she was done, she let me have it because she's the coolest ever. ^_^

Haha, and Chris did a quick drawing of me drawing /:)

I agree, Trigger, '60s era themed sci-fi cartoon with Lynne's characters would be cool...

My very own Lynne!

Postby Eberhard Faber Ronnie » Sun Aug 10, 2003 8:58 pm

The companion piece to Sue's Lynne gift above with the cats. Lynne started to spin a story about this scene and I wish I had a tape recorder going because it was charming and whimsical and you all will have to take my word for it. Love this drawing! I favor the reptillian with the martini. Thanks, Lynne. It was a blast being at the con with you. A momentous event to have you there. See you next year, 'hear?

And as if that wasn't enough, Chris Reccardi gave me an awesome drawing as the con was winding down Sunday. A treasure. Chris had such an explorer's energy about him that one couldn't help but feel that there's something amazing about to be thought of in the next moment while just talking to him. I really appreciated the time we all spent at the convention with both he and Lynne. A tough act to follow this year's con but we are already thinking of next year. Onward!

For those who didn't check out the link Sue posted, Here's what you would find... First the commissioned sketch I got from Lynne:
Image

Here's another in her series of "woman in a bar with other critters" pen sketches, this time with dogs. To my surprise, she just handed this to me at the sketchbook session after I watched her draw it. Thanks Lynne! I'm still amazed by the amount of creativity she comes up with spontaneously in these drawings:

And, I hope he doesn't mind, but after I sketched in PabloD's book, I couldn't help snapping quick photos of his Lynne and Chris drawings:
