I should have put a face on my other post as in hindsight my comment looks a bit persnickety. But thanks for your guys interest. Editorial has told me they have pitched the idea, but it hasn't flown. I'm guessing for there to be a Monroe book there would have to be a perception they were cashing in on it's "wild popularity," rather than "creating a market." I'd like to see and animated Monroe or live action TV show, but I assume the same logic applies. Remember publishing has had a tradition of exploiting trends rather than creating them. There are exceptions like Harry Potter but in the end it's safer for them to keep pushing old franchises rather than creating new ones. I'd like to say I'm not upset about this or trying to put down any one, it's just my blunt perception of cold reality.

As for the other collections you guys would like to see... My guess is the Warner's marketing wants to stay away from Artist's collections and stick with solid marketing themes of TV, Movies, and Grossness.
I'd like to see an up dated big Drucker book printing a bunch of the less reprinted stuff, but that's not smart marketing.
