Hey Guys!

Great to see the interest in this project....Me Bone and Bullock!
Contrary to the press info, we'll be jamming on this book, and everyone will have thier hands in at each stage. The following is a question and my answer from a recent "enterview".

>But before I get to that, what can you tell me about the Witchblade
>Animated comic? How do you feel about working over David Bullock's
>layouts? What about having J Bone ink your pencils?

This'll be fun. First, I'd like to note that the real carrot here was the chance to work with Paul Dini on a comic. The last time I worked with Paul I was working for him on the Adventures cartoons. He stands head and shoulders over most writers in either medium, so I knew we'd have a great script going in.
J. Bone and David Bullock are simply two of the most talented young men I have ever met. The credits suggested are a bit erronious. For example, J. Bone is the best designer in the group, by a country mile, so he'll be handling the final design of all the characters. He also kicks my ass drawing the girly faces, so his pencil will be busy as well. I can probably add some sparkle with blacks and effects inking. So it'll go back and forth. Dave and I logged a lot of pencil mileage at Warner's and he is still one of the most sought after storyboard men in Hollywood. It's a natural to have him break down the story, and his action staging and posing has an extrordinary vitality that really excites the eye. David is going to come to Toronto for a month and we'll all work together on it, studio-style. So you could say, this'll be a lot of fun to do, and a chance to do a solid for Jim McLaughlin, a real gent.

Also, the above image isn't final. Here is the Bullock layout with Cooke pencils......Bone'll post inks later this weekend and when I've got it coloured......

Yeah
D
