Frogze - Super stuff, I love the POV you have chosen for the first piece - not only is the Mecha super cool but the architecture kicks serious ass. I was about to start a Macross piece but I feel that I would be on a hiding to nothing after seeing these two!

Manny - Really solid constuction on the mecha, I do however think that it would benefit from less gradiant fills - other than that good stuff sir!

Here's something from one of my sketchbook from '09

I really need to go and have a think about my next contribution otherwise it'll be more Patlabor Ingrams ;)

Marc, that "sketch is insane! What is it done in? Marker and whiteout?
Very cool looking.

To me everything else in this thread is new to me. I only watched transformers and Voltron.

I never got to see any of these.

Thanks Manny :D

The sketch was made in my Moleskine sketchbook using - blue pencil, brush pens (black and coloured), various copic markers (all cool greys), fine line sharpies and acrylic paints and inks - basically anything I had to hand ;)

Wow Mark, that Labor sketche is brilliant! And no please don't refrain from doing some Macross, I'd really LOVE to see your take on this show, please do!!
Moonman, I've absolutely no idea who this guy might be and what the fat guy and the explosion means, looks very nice anyway and fits perfectly here

Here's a colored sketch of studio Gainax's 1988 production, a classic and a very highly recommended watch : Top O'nerae Gunbuster
Among all its equipment of ultra deadly technological weapons, he has a baseball batt 8)

Haven't been back in forever! The monthly jam seems like as good a place as any to post my first pic after so long of a gap.... even if this jam is a few months old. I'd meant to come back and re-start my thread long ago but it just never happened. Hopefully I'll be back to regularly posting from now on.

Anyway, here's the cover I did for the next issue of Doctor Who Classics for IDW. Colors by Charlie Kirchoff:
