Thanks, guys.
Steve, you're right about the perspective error.
I drew the wheels for the chair in Photoshop, and I just duplicated the near wheel for the back one. I should have taken a little more time to do it correctly.

Today's entry: Y is for Yankee Poodle
This one harkens all the way back to the entry for the letter C.
Yankee Poodle is a member of the Zoo Crew, the team of talking animal superheroes let by Captain Carrot.
Look at those jazz hands!

I?d love to see a Zoo Crew revival. Fun, kid-friendly comics are in short supply these day. Scott Shaw! Call me!

Thanks, mate! That's definitely what I was trying to do, so I'm glad you think I succeeded.

Well here we are, folks. We?ve reached the end of the series! Thanks for sticking with me all the way through it, from A is for Adam Strange to today's entry: Z is for Zorro!

I?ll be starting my next series, The Legion of Superheroes: from A to Z in February. Keep your eyes peeled, and have a great weekend!

Oh, hey, what have we here? Could it be? Could it possibly be? The first entry in a new sketch thread series?!

Yes indeed, your eyes do not deceive you! It?s the new Legion of Superheroes alphabet series, starting off on a truly unsettling note with Legion reject Arm-Fall-Off Boy! In his own words, ?My power will astound you! Observe as I detach my limb? and transform it into a deadly weapon!?

Lord, I love the Legion. I'm stoked for 26 weeks of glorious nuttiness.

So, the Legion of Super-Heroes ABC returns!
I think I started the series too quickly with Arm-Fall-Off Boy- unlike the ?retro? idea behind the first series, I didn?t really have a good hook for each entry. After letting the ideas bake for a while, though, the concept that grabbed me can be summed up like this; ?What if the Legion, in addition to being super-heroes, were also amateur filmmakers who sweded movies from the 20th Century?? So, from here through the end of the series, each entry will be in the form of a movie poster. While I am locked onto a few ideas, I am taking suggestions for the Legionnaire/movie matchup, so feel free to go nuts with the comments.

That's a great idea and a great poster! Looking forward to seeing how you deal with some other characters!

so, it seems i'm really gravitating toward the style of the art tonight. all these are so f'ing cool! my favs are the color offset dot style. even the ones with the slightly yellowed backgrounds feel so authentic. one of my very few crits are for the first one. adam strange. esp cuz it's one of my favorites. i know the general style is supposed to be flat, but because you have him foreshortened and the trail behind him in the same way, your signature at the very end of the trail kinda kills the foreshortened effect. otherwise, superb!

Thanks for the comments

Orbitalharvest, you're right about the Adam Strange piece. I've learned quite a few things since I started the series.

C is for Colossal Boy!

I didn't realize until I posted this that there's a Giant-Girl story in Marvel Adventures Avengers with the same concept... oh well.

Thanks, Kirk! I've been having fun thinking up weird pairings.
I'm open to suggestions for the rest of the series!

Making this got me to finally watch the movie. It's SO GOOD, man.

Dawnstar's not my favorite, and I'm no Saul Bass, but I'm real happy with how this turned out! Now I've got to think of something appropriate for Elastic Lad. Help me out here?
