Into the Woods we go

Postby kizer » Sun Apr 04, 2010 6:35 am

Looks like Christopher Robins just ordered the guys to sneak attack and kill some kid and his imaginary friend. I guess that's what happens when you travel to far into the damn woods. Wonder if Walt knew about this shitty behavior.

Born to be Wild!

Postby kizer » Mon Apr 12, 2010 3:28 pm

So I always thought on doing a " Where the Wild Things Are" piece a long while ago but never did for some reason. I thought though that since I'm visiting all my childhood characters I'd do something with these fellers at last.

I always thought on what if the kid stayed in the land of the Wild THings though. How would he turn out...hmm? I might explore that a little. For now though...normal mode.

Regarding the way you see Winnie the poo, I feel a bit worried about what could happen in the sendak universe. If this is just the "normal" mode, I look forward to see the next step...

Great technique, mood and colors!

Go Gadget Go!

Postby kizer » Mon Apr 26, 2010 6:58 pm

I thought it was about time that Inspector Gadget stopped being sort of a wimpy ass and a little more of an Ass kicker. It was inevitable.

Such an amazing collection of work! The last few on this page alone are stellar! Are you planning to collect these in a sketchbook? I'd certainly crowbar open the wallet for one of those! :)

Grayson........NightWing

Postby kizer » Thu May 06, 2010 3:12 pm

Thought of Mr. Grayson as someone who's sort of a depressed and dark loner. He wouldn't be dark in terms of what he wears but mentally. To me he's at a stage some where in his mid to late 20's were he's already dealt with some pretty terrible hardships that continue make it's way in his daily , non crime fighting life. NightWing would be Dick's way of taking out all of his aggression..but on the killers and crooks. I thought that even though Grayson is trying to be his own hero, his outfit sort of show signs that his future has something even Darker waiting for him. This is my thought on the guy though....what do guys think?
