Hellboy is by far the most fun character to draw, so I had to try a little David Petersen style on this one, but done in colored pencils so it's not the cleanest picture ever...

Some pretty cool entries thus far. I started this illustration a few weeks ago, but with school, I hardly have the time for it. So, I'm pretty sure by the time I finish this, this thread will be over and done.

There part of the same illustration. Both aren't finished, but you get the idea.

EDIT: As you might have noticed from the first to the second drawings, I change Hellboy's left leg since it was pretty static.

some great Hellboys here (have been inspired watching this thread grow) and will be back with comments later, but i always imagined Hellboy as a bit of a street fighter -- not afraid to grab zombie nut sacks or, like in this case, yank on an ogre's eyeballs:

steve-O - Love the shapes and the rendering on the right hand of doom; johnchrist - He's a bit thinner than I'm used to seeing, so I think of this as "young Hellboy"; Jarhead1 - Awesome sketch, Gannon. Of course it's going to draw comparisons to the pinup done by Frank Cho a while back, but it doesn't suffer in comparison; Armando - Great pic. My favourite bit is the feeling of pull and stretch on the tentacles; blackv8 - Spooky and atmospheric lighting; J. Bastian - Love the woodcut style of this. Astounding; Zatransis - A very melancholic looking big red; ryancody - Very "no-nonsense" expression on your fantastic Hellboy; dam - I remember that. Great to see it again.
