Em - I love your Batman, very atmospheric!

Michael Wieringo - Wow! Spider Boy! so cool. I remember when those issues came out. I dind't realize you were involved.

zombotomy - Nice Superman. I never read the series though. Was it good?

Kool - I love this Kid Flash, I remember her in Kingdom Come. Very dynamic.

drewng - I like the after images of the kid flash that you added to your pic.

jc_pawz - I like the first wolfy of CA the best. very cool

MrImagination - Nice job on your picture.

hardraw - I like your picture. I think it works well. Will you ink it?

visual myriad - I like the inking job you did on your picture. It defeintely captures the feel of the original series.

Zaccheus_Prime - I'm not familiar with Robin 3000, was it a comic? or something you made up? Nice picture BTW, but the fog is a bit too high I think.

CosmicPencil

KellyTindall - Nice inking and colouring. i love Doctor Doomsday

Jollyrodgers - I like your picture and the colours

drewng - Another comic I'm not familiar with. But a cool pic nonetheless...why can't he have two left hands on the chain?

shadoes - I like the picture, Will you ink it?

jc_pawz - Has JollyJack seen yours?

Slickpuppy - Nice job inking and colouring.

MaxRadical - I like the idea of iron man wearing a Tony Stark disguise.

risaacs

hells yeah. Except for the fact that Dave Johnson didn't draw the whole thing, it was a great story.

Nice application, very smoothe and consistent, its amazing how much time some people put into pencil rendering, i usualy just use the pencil values as place holders and put em in pretty rough since ill just be inking em, seems you could trace over with a pen or turn the contrast up in photoshop since your work is so dang tight. I think her right arm that is leaning against the door frame is a bit wide, or she is just really buf.

I could do a total fanboy geek-out over that for days. Spider-boy ws the ONLY Amalgam universe book I bought, and the very first comic I bought with my own money ever. I was only Nine at the time.

Will I finish it? I was going to, but then there is a character jam on Mighty Mouse (whom I LOVE) and even though I would like to finish it, I most likely will not get it done in time for this jam...keep an eye out though, you never know when it'll pop up.

I have been somewhat lax in my commenting this month. I kept meaning to come back, but had nothing to show:

Page 1 (after my previous comment)

Jollyrodgers - Nice sketch of Speed Demon. I wonder how going at a fast speed doesn't extinguish his flame (probably because it's magical); mannycartoon - I'm digging that SWAT Dick Grayson, with the subtlely shaped bat ears, and I really like the determined look on his face; Kool - The forced perspective of your Flash's daughter really help sell the "speeding toward" feel; drewng - Another cool version of Flash's Daughter. I like the style a lot, but I'm not that keen on the repeated image

Page 2

jc_pawz - Two great fun takes on the werewolf Captain America. I think I like the more cartoony one best; Marcelo Di Chiara - That's an awesome GBG Batman, Marcelo. I'm glad I got mine in first or I would have felt inadequate next to yours; MrImagination - Some cool action in your Dark Claw/Super Soldier confrontation; hardraw - Crossing WW and PW works very well, making what would be a very powerful heroine; Marcelo Di Chiara - Wonderful brow beaten Superman. He looks very world weary; visual myriad - Kick ass Batman sketch, Daniel, and very faithful to Miller's style; Zaccheus_Prime - Very nice rendition of Robin 3000. I have both issues of that - can't remember much about the story, but it had some very cool P. Craig Russell art.

I'll be back with more comment soon (promise  ) but, in the meantime, here's a quick photoshop sketch (wonky perspective and all) of Superman from Red Son:

CosmicPencil - That AoA Colossus is looking mighty fine so far; KellyTindall - A great bunch of Amalgam characters. Is it just me or does the Hyena look uncannily like The Creeper? JollyRodgers - I hadn't noticed the Demon ears on Speed Demons skull. They do look kind of goofy; drewng - I'm not familiar with Tao, but he looks really cool. I like the yin-yang mask a lot. To be honest, I probably wouldn't have noticed the two left hands (or thought it was supposed to be like that) if you hadn't pointed it out; shadoes - I remember Doctor Strange Fate. Not only was he a logical combination that worked, but even better, he was drawn by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez and inked by Kevin Knowlan - a great artistic amalgam; Zaccheus Prime - That 1602 Captain America looks really great; jc_paws - A funny little scenario; Slickpuppy - Your Tangent Atom looks very suitably iconic

The Vampire Batman from Red Rain (I think that was what it was called) and its sequels. Apologies if I've got some details wrong, I did it from memory:

Yeah Speed-demon was a funny idea. The whole design for the amalgam thing is really funny.
