I love the super-scrull but I'm not quite sold on the thor. Not sure what it is though. I'll have to look at it for a while to figure it out

there's great cartooniness in the Skrull and Thor's body, but Thor's face seems not cartoony enough, it sets up a dissonance.

My, but it's making me feel old to read how unfamiliar NEXUS is!

The Thor and Super Skrull are terrific. I wouldn't change a thing.

I agree with cory. If Thor's face was a little more expressionistic it would totally rock more. Still, awesome pic diddle. :)

Hi all, I've always been a big fan of the cosmic characters and am glad that this jam lasts the whole month. Anyways, here's a contribution of the Thing and the Human Torch. When you get hit by cosmic rays, you're a cosmic hero.

The Silver Surfer. I like how the surfer himself came out, but the coloring and the solar flare just didn't work out like I wanted. I may redo them.

I'm posting the inked version, which I think came out better.

Em: That Flash Gordon is pretty slick. Dig the coloring on it, good tones. Toonimator: Aww, that Ewok is so cute. lil scamp: Aww, that Yoda is so cute.
jc pawz: Aww, that Lobo is so cute. Haha. michaelpatrick: Man, havent seen that character in forever. Nice sketch. porcelain: Ha! Fantastic Kevin Spacey. Good idea. zombotomy: Nice take on Mr Jones, he's looking very gully. charles: Hmm, not familiar with the character but I dig the style in which you drew him in. Like an illo on a lunch box or something. Global nihilism: That's one upset looking Darth. Good stuff. cooters: I always like heavy use of black. Nice ray gun too. steve-O: Very fluid nexus, love the line work on it. spacesick: Great caricature. Resemblance is uncanny, especially the eybrows, heh. joe bun: Nice illo, has that Allerd touch to it. Angry Beef: Them Starfire's are good, I like the style... good colors on them as well. shadoes: Nice Yoda and Ben, with that rendition of Yoda it's looks as tho he hasnt slept in ages. diddle: Awesome. Love the expression and exageration in this. That would make for an interesting battle. drewng: Nice Torch and Thing, they seem to have a touch of Kirby to them. Marcelo: That's pretty dope, nice rendition. IMForeman: Ah, Silver Surfer. I think we shall see many a drawings of him in this jam. I hope so anyways, he's definitely my favorite comic character.

Whew. There, got that out of the way. Here's my first contribution, the alien from This Island Earth.

Ran the backround and color layers through the "Cutout" fillter and lilked the effect it had on the overall look.

Marcelo--that piece just rocks! You, amongst other fellow people here, seem to never fail at putting out quality images. The only thing I'd hope to see would be more backgrounds in your work...but they really aren't essential when your images look as nice as they do.
Diddle-- Love the Thor vs. Super Skrull...although the Super Skrull does work a little better than Thor. Other than the face mentioned, I couldn't help but notice that his left (to the viewer: right) arm is skinnier than his other arm...although everything else looks fine to me.
Everybody else is putting out some really nice looking images...

Em?Really like you?re style through all your posts, very consistent and appealing. Toonimator?Really like Ewoks and haven?t seen them for a while so that?s great.
Lil scamp? Yoda looks so frightened! Love the style, not the expression.
Jc_pawz?Lobo is a really cool character, but when did he lose his hand?
Michaelpatrick?I used to love the old Buck Rogers series, and your Twiki looks great.
Porcelain?.Love the clean and easy style of Prot, and also of your Lister and Kryten.
Zombotomy?. I like your Martian Manhunter, looks stylized from the TV show as well as the books.
Charles?I don?t know who Tom Corbett is, but your style is really fun, almost like a caricature.
Global Nihilism? Is Darth Bane a real character? I like the use of blacks on the character, but it took me a minute to realize that his mouth was closed. You have all these long lines all over the drawing and then these short little flecks on his lip, I thought they were teeth for a moment.
Cooters?I love the drawing, but I wish you hadn?t told me it was Tom Paris from Voyager ( I hated the show), because it doesn?t look like him.
Steve-o?I?ve always been a big fan of Steve Rude, but could never get into Nexus. I like the style you used for your drawing, although I don?t really like the hands.
Spacesick?Love the caricature of Adam Quark, although I don?t know who the character is. What did you use to ink this, pen, brush, wacom????
JoeBun?Nice drawing and pose, I think the only thing I would comment on is that his right arm looks awkward and stiff.
Angry Beef? I like your renditions of Starfire from both the TV series and the comics, great colors on the characters, but I?m not crazy for the BG?s in the pics.
Shadoes?Really great renditions of Star Wars characters, very good likeness. I know these are old sketches, but I think with some added line quality, your drawings would really stand out!
Diddle? I love the fact that you have an action pose with your cosmic character, it?s difficult to think of these characters in interesting poses. I?ll have to agree with some of the others that mentioned Thor may be a little out of whack. I think it has to do with his upper body?.his right arm has an interior line down his arm which is confusing and should probably be the exterior line, when looking in relation to Thor?s left arm. Also I think the shoulders are probably too close together?for someone like Thor, he should have really broad shoulders.
Marcelo? Love Captain Mar-vell !!!!! Really like your style and your colors came out great.
IMF?.I like your Silver Surfer, and I agree that this BG works better than the one before. I?ve been trying to ruff out a Silver Surfer myself, but find it difficult to really get his skin right.
Unoriginal Bastard II? I like your drawing and the line work used, gives a good sense of texture.
