Elliot the second one is cool!
Very nice dynamic angle. It has a powerful comic book feel mixed in there.
That is also another awesome one francesco! It is a strong design and great linework.

troyboy: I really like your take on PS: original and powerful :D (like he can take
care of the situation even wthout powers ;)) Thanks for the kind words on my piece :)
GentleGiant: That sounds really cool (and a bit scary too ;)). Again, a place I
would like to visit (Bangor, and Maine in general, in particular the coast)
Nightwing: Love'em, Chris :D One of the best thing I have seen from you :)
Elliotanimated: Pimp on the run? well, he was young and had bills to pay... err... ;)
Yeah, that medallion definitely give the pimp or rapper (alla Snoop Dog, i.e.) feel to every
image I have done or I have seen ;) Thanks for the kind comment, Elliot :D
youngatart: I have been drawing a lot lately: glad it shows in my lines :D Thanks.
Love you piece, very classic :D Is he knocking on the door? ;) j/k. Actually your piece
inspired mine below :)
GentleGiant: don't be too harsh: I think you succeded in your experiment :D Just a
couple of things: 1) if you can add the pole of the light it helps to identify it as street light
(for a sec I thought we were in a theather). 2) what is Batman doing in a PS pic? ;)
mookie01: thank you very much, William :D You should do a PS in your B/W style ;)

Another one from last night.Actually I did a variation of it and post it in my thread for not
clutter this jam too much ;) I am not sure which one I prefer (I guess they both
work), but was partially inspired by Jay's drawing of PS entering that door, so I
titled "See you on the other side" ;)

Cheers
Francesco

TheRonin - Very cool action Stranger. the skewed angle adds a lot to the sense of urgency; troyboy - A very confident "don't mess with me" Stranger; Nightwing - Good adaption of reference to give that noir feel; youngatart - I can almost hear him say "my work here is done" as he slips away; GentleGiant - That's a great graphic style you used. the use of the blood red says so much about Batman's character even though he is static; TheRonin - He's almost got a Sergio Leone western feel here, as he heads to a showdown with some big bad beastie

Great work everyone.P.S. is a Great character whose potential has yet to be discovered. A friend of mine dressed up as the Phantom Stranger for Halloween one year and someone asked him;

"Who are you supposed to be,...COUNT SINATRA?" Hillarious.

Francesco - thanks for the tip on the streetlamp. As far as putting the Bat in ... well, after doing some research and finding out that he tends to "visit other superheroes to not directly interfere but offer clues and often cryptic advice, including superman, batman, etc ..." I figured that rather than showing a simple "mysterious stand-alone panel or pinup" I'd try to be a little different and show him in an actual situation where he might appear. SO much for trying to be different! Ahhh!

So ... about that streetlamp. If I were to represent that pole, would it be best to outline it, or crosshatch a bit towards the botom to suggest it? What do you think the best way to represent the streetlamp would be? If you've got a second to spare, I'm more than willing to learn.

Thanks!

Nightwing - Nice unique take. Makes me think that's what the actor would've looked like in the 1925 Blockbuster "The Phantom Stranger and The Cult of Personality!".
youngatart - One of my favorite's of yours so far. I totally got the "see ya" feeling from him.
GentleGiant - Nice experiment. Your spotlight coming down on PS is really nice. He does, however, look a little bit like a pimp. :)
TheRonin - Thanks for the compliment on my first entry Francesco. I'm so damned jealous of how powerful but minimalistic your drawings are. The harsh light and shadow you've got goin' on here is just great. I guess he quit smoking though.
blairsmith - I like how you made his medallions. Nice job man.

I'm up to my eyeballs in projects right now but I took a quick little 20 min. break and doodled this out. Just goin' for a different style than my last post.

TroyBoy - That's great lighting - very dark and dramatic.
As far as my "Stranger" looking like a pimp ... I'll take that as a compliment :D

Here's my contribution--tardy as usual. I'll make some comments later this weekend. Great entries again. These jams are the best!

The perspective on this is first rate! Would you consider finishing it? Inks and/or colors?
