Forgot about the Independants Jam.

Can't blame Pulido for the badly drawn boobs Helix, He's the writer, not artist.

I think hands would be a cool jam to do, it would be cool to see the different outcomes of everyones own style.

Hands? As in... what, hands dressed up as superheroes? Or drawings of various superheroes' hands? Like "Here's one... note the green ring..."

I don't think that would get much of a response (unless there are a lot of hand fetishists on the Board)

Leave that for when you expand to monthly jams in the life drawing section.

I've been thinging about this...

What about superheroes that didn't debute in comics?

Birdman

Capt Caveman

Condor Man

That silly DoverMan Charecter from the Bob Newheart tv show where he was a comic creator.

Hana Barbera Heroes

Even the charecters from Mistery Men because most of those were invented for the movie I think right?

Just a though.

How about a 1st Appearances Jam? Characters in their first outfits or incarnations, maybe with a somewhat broad range going up to maybe their first full year of existence? (Superman's look changed subtly from issue to issue in the early Action Comics days, for instance)

This would be a cool idea. Pretty much every serialized character evolved a lot from their earliest appearances, so it'd be cool to see people's takes on the originals.

Okay, here' s a list up until January of next year

June 2006: Is it a Bird? Is it a Plane? - With the imminent release of the new Superman movie, what better time for a Jam dedicated to the various incarnations of the Man of Steel and his supporting cast.

July 2006: Independents' Day - Your favourite characters not published by Marvel & DC or their subsiduaries/imprints. This Jam can also include your favourite webcomic and newspaper strip characters, past or present.

August 2006: Summers Loving - With the recent addition in the comics of a third Summers sibling, we dedicate this month to the marriages, love triangles and other relationships of the family of the X-Men's Cyclops and Havok.

September 2006: Hey, Hey, We're the Monkeys - Go ape this month with a Jam all about your favourite primates and simian superheroes

October 2006: Dead and Loving It - A month dead-icated to those heroes who have died and are sadly no longer with us, those who should have stayed dead, and the undead.

November 2006: Shaken, not Stirred - With the release in November of the latest movie "Casino Royale", a Jam all about the most famous fictional spy of all - James Bond - and the guns, girls and gadget that make his stories so entertaining.

December 2006: Ice, Ice, Baby - Characters who are somehow winter- or snow-related, either by name, power or location.

Jan 2007: Product Placement - This is an idea that was suggested way back when we started these monthly Jams, and I'm only now getting around to doing it - characters who have been used to advertise various products. Should be Grrrrrreat!

Nice themes. By the way, I don't know if it has been already done, but what about an Alejandro Jodorowsky's characters Jam? Y'know, The Incal, Metabarons, Technopriests, etc...

Love the what-if Idea and the fav moments idea..

Sci-fi is a good Idea but how about narrowing it down to Aliens only,
-funny how many white male aliens there are- but aliens of all types

another idea is objects of power, when I 1st thought of this I was thinking of things like the comic cube, the ring of power(lord of the rings), the power gems, etc and the people who lust after or associated with them but to open the field any power object and friend could work.

peace
