I'm not sure what the board etiquette is, so I hope I don't offend. I really liked Ringo's Scott and Jean piece, and wanted to see how it might look with some inks dropped on it. Let me know what you think.

Tenzh the Ti Hsien: Here's a Juggernaut. :D

(edit) adjusted the background...***reposted image below***

Got a wacom for xmas. Still not that great at it, and the pic is kinda like "What if Juggernaut went to Glamorshots?" But it's a Juggernaut....

Musashi: That's a fantastic drawing of Wolvie V. Deathstrike. Great motion and a cool style on the linework.

em: Great Emma, with a prefect color palette for her. She looks so sad though. Guess being a cold heartless bitch makes her depressed sometimes. :D

You should always ask the original artist's permission first - If he's OK with it, then fine, but if not, then you shouldn't really post it.

EricWolfeHanson - That's one angry Juggernaut. have fun with your Wacom - we all look forward to seeing the results.

I seem to have hit a temporary block. Been trying to get a hang of Storm, but these are all I can come up with:

Image
(arms are all wonky, proportion-wise)

Image
(better, but boring)

Image
(too stiff and lifeless)

em: holy crap I forgot about the "punk" Storm era. Keep going!

Whipped this out in an hour while screwing around with Open Canvas today. I wish there was an English version. I can't understand half the functions. Wound up exporting the pencil roughs to Pshop and finishing it there. I like Open Canvas better because it has a hotkey to quickly rotate your canvas (like Painter).

Everybody stand back! It's the Last American Boyscout!

Great stuff guys.

VoteQuimby - Thanks. I'm glad you like it. Wolverine is one of my favourite characters.
Batmankm - Thanks. I was looking through Capcom Design Works and I was inspired by their action pieces so I tried to incorporate that inspiration into this pic.
booga - Thanks! I really tried to show that they are actually fighting each other, not just posing menacingly.
Francesco - Thanks. Love that pencil sketch. Really great job on Magneto.
gravyboy - Cute Phoenix.
Kwiecien - Really like the colours on this one. Blob initially looked like Juggernaut to me.
em... - Thanks. I love the dramatically-lit Storms.
EricWolfeHanson - Thanks. Nice angry Juggernaut!
Bowler - Great Cyclops.

oi!! gang!
hope everybody got stuffed and drunk and puffed....those festivities out of their pores.
TheRonin: hope you're rested, francesco...even if it seems that you don't know the meaning of this word....enough chitchat! back with a great pic as it were, real moody and dramatic to the tip of your raging pencil. a scene out of the exorcist! and one more to add to my collection. funny how ideas travel along those serendepitic ley lines, your comp is frightfully identical to your commissioned drawings here below...see for yourself. hope you like, i cheated a bit...so another one will come soon to make amend.
gravyboy: lovely phoenix! her neck seems a tad too long but love the expression...she looks quite young, too.
Kwiecien: cool inks on this one!
EricWolfeHanson: love it!! nice effects on the armor...i think the green background clashes a bit with the character...could be a bit darker.
em...: what are you talking about, euan? simple, efficiant, nice light, strong drawing, mystere....i don't see where you could have possibly f**cked up! love the second storm... she reminds me of emma peel...
are you gonna continue this sketch of her flying? crivens!!
Bowler: love the sketch! i'm not sure about the electric blue of the costume...in my opinion, it takes away the glowing effect of the goggles

so here's the commission for francesco, asking gor a "mistique"....i thought about drawing a pair of sleepers at first, blue and orange, but i cheated this one nonetheless.
background is a bit phoney....

Was posting another pic. Didn't turn out as good as I'd hoped, and I can't delete old messages.

Wow! Thank you very much for the kind words to aggy (you found the words,
don't worry :)), Eric, Euan (execution... eheh :D), Ronald, and Olivier
(I see what you mean for resemblance between the 2 drawings and yes, it's
uncanny! Almost the same composition with a lady standing and a man laying down.
That's so cool. You don't have to do another piece, btw, but if you really want to, well. be my guest ;))

gravyboy: very nice Phoenix: good pencil job :)
Kwiecien: yeah, the colors really add a lot to the piece and help to merge the BG
with the figures: cool! :) Abuot Ringo's piece, if he is ok I don't think there is any problem:
it seems to me they are digital inks, clean job even if I would vary a bit the depth of the
lines a bit more consistantly.
EricWolfeHanson: very mean and angry Juggernaut! :) and have fun with the
wacom: it is a really good tool for coloring or even drawing (like I am discovering very
recently ;))
em...: I know what you mean on the first pic, Euan, but more than the arms (that
are proportioned to the bust) I would say the head is too big. Love the second one, not
boring at all: very moody piece and great lights. Great sketches on the third one: I am
sure you can finish it and impress us with some more beauty :)
Bowler: cool quick sketch and colors! :) Is that on the FG his left hand? If it is so, it
seems a bit wonky to me ;) About editing and deleting messages, you can delete the
post only if there is no other post after yours, otherwise what you can do is just editing
the post.
booga: Thank you very much, Olivier: that's great! :) I don't think it's cheating at all:
love the little details that tell us she is Mystique, like the red hair, the eyes, the belt (with
that skull), and the blades that are forming from her fist. Great anatomy and lights and
love that blurry BG :) Commissioned? That means you are sending me the drawing? ;)

I did this some time ago and post it in the girls forum, so I apologize to those who have
already seen it for the "double" post, but I thought it would be nice to share it in a X-Men
thread with all you friends. After the spooky version of the last drawing, here it's a sexy
version of Rogue :) Remember: you can see but you can't touch ;) (Warning! Slight nudity)
Later
Francesco

Thanks to all who took pity on me, and said nice things about my crappy Storms

Bowler - Great Cyclops and Jubilee. I really like the lighting effects on both pics - they add a lot to the atmosphere (reminds me, I have to do a Jubilee); booga - Awesome Mystique/Logan. It's like an evil version of Rod's "in bed" pics :D . My favourite thing is the feminine pose on Mystique - it creates such a contrast with the tough, male body. I am a big fan of The Avengers (the TV series, not the shit movie) so that may explain the Emma Peel-ness of my second Storm; TheRonin - That is a sexy, sultry Rogue (even if it is a re-post, you lazy swine  ); SedyasOnLine - Cool "Ultimate" Logan. Very nice, restrained colour scheme too.

I choose to ignore the "Origin" story of Wolverine for two reasons:

1) I prefer him to be mysterious
2) His "real" name, James Howlett, just makes me think of Jamie Hewlett, the co-creator of Tank Girl and Gorillaz - and i can't help but picture this:
