here's a mech i designed today. He's supposed to be a 20 foot tall scout/light attack mech. Because of the scouting need he has very light weaponry and similarly sparse armor. I'll be adding a whole squad of mechs soon, next i think i'll draw the assault mech.
Hope you all enjoy this one until then.

Thanks to Andy, dieselVW, Nick, Olivier (I never stopped to draw
since October 31st ;) and finally this evening I had a bit more time, so...:) Can't wait to
see your contributions :)), Euan (lazy brother ;) I am waiting for more :)), i like art
, Quimby (the silhoutte in the bg is my fav too :)), for the nice words on my
flash piece and my painted Gundam :)

ajaxyomama: nice additions to your character: now it looks a pretty scary cyborg :)
LauraW: eheh, Jesus... even if he looks like more like a Jedy to me ;) The heart on
your suite is so cute :)
Nic: another wonderful piece of your collection, Nick :) I agree: those make some
good cover or inside illustrations for sci-fi books or even they could work as concept
design for a movie ;)
Sobreiro: ayeeeeeeee, Futurama in Felipe's style: just too cool for words :)
DanBois: you have been using 3dMax for 7 years? You should be a "monster" in
3d now ;) Cool Canny the Canman :)
AgentDenim: Your robot seems ready to kick some a$$ ;)
dr.hong: awesome piece, Paul :) Very poethic and love the watercolor style. BTW I
didn't tell you at the time, but I really loved your post-it series :D
qed: very cool design for this robot: it reminds me a bit "I Robot", recently in the
theaters
dieselVW: the gun needs some more work (and don't worry about bg), but she is
hot and cool (at least as hot and cool a cyborg can be ;))
qed: yeah, some good robot fight! :) And this is way more fun than Robowars ;)
lartist: as beautiful and poethic as dr.hong's piece: love it, Lar :)
SFPendy: great pieces, Shaun :) I remember the second one (beautiful), but the
tiny robots are so cuteeee! :) And I noticed that the second one (the one with his head
not straight) is missing the bellybutton, one of the bullet on the head (the center one) and
it has a bigger ball on the antenna. I know you did on purpose, but do I get a prize for
finding the missing/different details? ;)
i like art: eheh, Cops and criminals in RobotCity ;) Those are some cool designs :)
VoteQuimby: I am glad you stayed up late for finishing it, because your piece is so
cool (and mostly because your unique and awesome style) :)
AriasRequiem: Universal SOldiers are back (and this time without JC Van
Damme ;)) Cool design: you are getting better with anatomy and proportions too :)
Nick: different style and subject (from your humanoids) but still great: I remember
the movie but at the moment I am not sure about the english title (I saw it maaaany years
ago in Italy)
draw_man: nice anime feel in your EVA piece :)
qed: it seems someone is on a roll here (and not just him ;)): great idea to make a
huge robo-fight with all the tributes so far: it would be funny to see this scene groving
with the next ones ;)
TheRonin: ehy, that's a oldie! Cool, but still an oldie... ;)
Nick: speaking of being on a roll ;) This is such a cool character design (just in
case I haven't told you before ;))
i like art: great detail additions to your robo-cop: again, very cool design :)
nocturnalcry: I remember this from the AKira thread (another thread where I failed
to tribute with something :(): I guess this is a good opportunity to say how much cool
your piece is ;) The only thing that bugs me is the fire effect: it doesn't quite match with
the style of the whole pic
AriasRequiem: your are not overposting, it's just robots are too much fun to draw,
right? ;) I wish I still have my teenager sketchbook full of robots with thousands of
weapons :) Those are another couple of cool additions: love the rhino head on the first
one :)

wow... as usual it takes more time to comment all your work (when you become so
productive) than actually draw something ;)
Anyway, since I was missing my daily horror movie exercise, I decided to go back to the
format and the tools of last week and to stick with the movies (even if not that old ;)).
Robots, cyborg, what better than Robocop? (the first one) I completely loved that movie
(thanks also to Verehoven violent touch ;)). Hope you enjoy the homage :)

Later
Francesco

P.S. Booga: I love your new avatar, Olivier: expect a surprise about that, maybe this weekend ;)

Heres mine.
I started it for a CD cover for a local band, and the really wierd thing is , a month after my pc died, a not local band brought out a cd with a cover with the same asthetic I was going for. The robot was similar to.

I never got around to finishing it though.

Everybody's doing great stuff, all kinds of robots runnin' around!

I haven't drawn a decent robot in a looong time, but I'll try to get something done soon (maybe even tonight).

Here's a reallyreally old picture of Terminator (the first drawing I posted here!)

Enjoy.

Great work everyone. Here are a few Robotech images I had lying around.
I know I should use my curves and straight edges when inking these things, but I guess I'm just lazy.

Yeah it was them.
It was really wierd.
I was at work and looked up at the tv and was like "The hell... did I just see my drawing on tv?"

Came home looked it up on thenet and found out that yeah, it's eerie how similar it was. My robot was initially going to be holding a bloody human heart.

Mechanical marvels abound! Great work everybody! Here's one from me. My cartoony scribblings couldn't be further from the photorealistic style of Japanese artist Hijime Sorayama, but that didn't stop me from doing my own take on his trademark Sexy Robots. I'm such a fanboy, me.

Lots of new goodies since i last commented. I'll have to be brief:

dieselVW - That robot girl is looking very cute indeed; qed - You're doing some great intricate work this month, with your various robot mashes; lartist - Excellent sad but hopeful feel about your melancholic droid; SFPendy - Superb renderings, as always. Your Tick Tock is especially cool; i like art - I reckon this children's book your working on is going to be damn great, if the character concepts are anything to go by; VoteQuimby - Mighty fine rendition of Ladytron; AriasRequiem - You're really hitting your stride in this jam, and producing some of your best work; Nick - Nice take on the "*batteries not included" characters, but you forgot the "*" in the title; draw_man - Great eva. Nice clean lines; TheRonin - Cool take on Transformers - I was never really in to them, but this is a fine piece nonetheless. And you've beaten me to Robocop, you swine - I'm not sure I should bother now, as your's in so damn good; nocturnalcy - I remember that pic from the Astro Boy thread. It's nice to see it again; BradF - There's something contemplative about your robot, like he's just learning emotions for the first time. Very effective; The
Cure
- That Terminator is a pretty strong piece, Robert - He's got an almost demonic look. The angry robot swearing in binary is hilarious; denseboy - These Robotech images are very impressive. Excellent stuff; Slickpuppy - You've done well in capturing the feel of a Sorayama illustration, without resorting to copying his airbrushed style.

Hope I haven't missed anyone

I've been lazy and just done a quick head doodle of Robocop's spiritual father, Deathlok the Demolisher:
