working on a logo...from sketch to digital rough

A quick logo made up for our Society...needs a little tweeking....feedback is welcome!

I like it but there is something I can't quite put my finger on about the banner that draws my eye towards it a bit too much.

I think it may be the straight edges at the banner folds, tapering them to match the banner curve should fix that?
