Art and Experiments

Postby SeraphSword » Sun Apr 22, 2012 9:09 pm

Hello all. Trying to get back in the saddle after not drawing much lately. Been working primarily digital these days. I'll try to update every day.

This one was a bit of an experiment. My favorite drawing app on iPad is definitely Procreate, so I've been messing with it a lot.
I started with this:

Then I used the smudge tool exclusively to try to make something from it:

I'm pretty happy with it. This was only about 20 minutes so I wasn't expecting much, and I wasn't using an under-drawing or reference, so it has some obvious flaws, but I'll take it.

I'll try to add some more substantial things moving forward. Thanks for looking.

Nothing too substantial today, just a quick doodle in Photoshop. No ref, just messing around with the soft round brush.

As usual I am very bad at updating.

This started as a quick 10 second doodle, that I decided to fool around with for a couple minutes:

I decided today to put a little time into cleaning it up, because the messy style wasn't really working for me:

Still not great but the whole process was educational. I don't think I'll mess with it anymore.
