Nice work on the Zelda piece, Claudia. I like the ethereal feel of the vignetting.

Sitting Nude

Sitting Nude
Soooo.... I have not done a figure drawing/painting in a long time and I thought that I could update my portfolio to reflect current skills. :)
This is a painting I did in Photoshop using a grid. About 12-14 hours went into it, which is about a 1/3 of the time spent of a painting like my "Anthony" piece. I wanted this one to be a bit more painterly, so I did not noodle as much.

I also included steps and the brush I used to create the whole painting on my blog:

We're eyeballing this here at Maverix, Claudia. Stunning work as usual. Hope you'll get a chance to visit us someday. :)

Cotz...
He took about 4hrs to paint. I tried a different technique with this one, keeping the paint stokes really rough where details are not important.
Spring is coming again but unfortunately it is cloudy outside my window today.
Longingly, this image reminds me of the ocean with its soft colors. Maybe he is the sea personified; which definitely did not come to mind when I was creating the piece.

Wow, Claudia, the photorealistically rendered ones are very impressive. Wish I could develop and apply skills like those to my caricature work. Stunning.

Hey Claudia,
You should post your work for the Ventrue book since it released last week.

*Very* impressive. The first photorealistic piece you did quite shocked me, because I genuinely mistook it for a photo... credit to you, because I'm still not certain... :D

But yes, this is solid, professional work, and I like the fact you're experimenting. I hope your muse continues to inspire you, and if you're going for the commercial end of things, good luck with that, too!

Definitely keeping an eye out for your work (even though I *hate* Link and Zelda with a passion!)
