Hey all. I've been building a little character design portfolio and these are the results.

Wonderful illustrations! Really cohesive design through all characters. However, i could only figure out who three of them were. obviously that's not really the purpose, but i thought i'd mention it.

and this may sound harsh, depending on the answer, but is that second to last one a man in a dress?

It is not! I guess it looks like that though. I've had comments before on the manliness of the character. It's Olenna Redwyne, old hag.

now that i think about it, that makes sense, she's the only old lady in the story. I think because you seem to use the same structural elements for both male and female there's no real tip off except for the clothes. With Arya it's less of a problem, cause she's supposed to look like a boy, but you have the same thing going on there.

That's certainly something to think about for the portfolio. I'd like to see your take on more obviously female characters, like Cercei or whomever... Just not Brienne. :)

I've got a Catelyn Stark coming up that will hopefully be unambiguously female. Thanks for the crit, though, I'll keep an eye out for it.

These are terrific. I love the vitality and character that comes through all of these. Are these traditional or digital? They're wonderful regardless. Keep at it.
They say you should never hit a man with a closed fist, but it is, on occasion, hilarious.

Pencil drawing colored digitally.

Thanks for the comments, Snow White was not involved on the production of these.

These are fantastic! The shading/detail is really well done.

The characters are based on the book description more than on the TV interpretations. I believe some of them are pretty recognizable, others are harder to pin-point.
