I have been working on this comic thing on and off for a while. It?s based on a couple of my mates. It keeps me drawing between jobs. That's the idea anyway. In practice I am too lazy, so I figured if I posted them here it may make me draw a little more regularly? And hope fully I can learn something from your suggestions. I would really appreciate any comments or criticisms. I promise I have thick skin. Cheers.
Dave

I'm working on the next one at the moment but thought I would post some of the older ones. Any feedback would be great. This was the first one I did. It is what Shirty said the would do if he ever got cancer. The character at the bottom is the ex-prime minister of Australia, John Howard.

Hey Dave.
I hope you're havin' fun drawing these.
You should probably acknowledge that you've lifted the name from elsewhere, though.

Good point Elliot. Thank you. I forgot all about that.
I did originally acknowledge it in this (the second shirty pic I drew). The name came about after we had been calling my mate a bear for a while and then watched a video of the old Australian "Late Show" comedy series and saw "Shirty The Slightly Aggressive Bear". That nickname stuck with my mate and years later when I wanted to draw a comic based on him the name was obvious. I am glad someone else remembers the original. It was hilarious.

Some of the humor is obviously topical .But I like your grumpy bear. The dead single weight line seems to suit it well.
