Content Guidelines for Uploads?

Postby Uloo » Tue Apr 01, 2008 11:23 am

To the Marvelous Moderators (and other Interested Members):

I seem to recall that at some point the Board had
a content guideline for uploads, given they're
prominently displayed on the front page and thus,
serve as impromptu advertisements for the Board.

Seems to me that within the past few weeks I've
frequently spotted stuff among the thumbnails that tastes
to me more like disclaimers than advertisements.

So, a few questions:

Was there once a content guideline
(or am I imagining such a thing)?
If so, did it go away? How come?

Honestly, I think I could live with a blanket PG rating
for uploads (or for images referenced by uploads), if such
seems reasonable and desirable to the membership.

Thoughts?

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. There are general guidelines but the mods aren't always around or see them to police them. Basically, if anyone posts anything that might be deemed pornographic, they should not attach them to the board since they'll be visible on the front page.

If anything questionable pops up, just email one of us. :)
