Metal tracks I listen to on my way to work with a curious absence of cursing (or indiscernable cursing, depending on whether or not you can decipher metal growling):

Demon Hunter- Infected, Less Than Nothing, Not I, Annihilate The Corrupt

Killswitch Engage- The End of Heartache, Fixation on Darkness

Lunatic Calm- Leave You Far Behind

Static-X- Get to the Gone, Push It, Destroy All

Good J-Pop Rockin' Bands (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying About What They're Really Saying and Love the Music)

L'Arc en Ciel, The Pillows, The Seatbelts (also known to be listed as Yoko Kanno & The Seatbelts)

RandyPan, can you recall who this video was by? It's no longer on YouTube but it rocked my face off when you first posted it. I MUST OWN IT.

Motorhead mate...with the legendary Lemmy "I should be the king of England" Kilmeister, Jimmy Hendrix' ex-roadie and the only member kicked out of Hawkwind for drug use...that in itself is quite the acheivement if you know anything about that band!

Okay - I know this thread is long since dead, but I'm new and that's my excuse :P

Ministry has a really kick butt version of Traveling Roadhouse Blues (The Doors) as well as some other obscure covers.

Here are some of my Favs :
Disturbed - Down with the sickness
Metallica - Whiplash
Megadeth - 502
Pantera - Cowboys from hell
Static X - Push It (I think this one was mentioned)
Prong - Snap your fingers Snap your neck

Geez - I could go on and on...

Oh..

Spiderbait has an amazing "Black Betty"

Back to drawing - those eyes aren't going to learn to draw themselves.

I would also like some of the metals to be recommended!

Right now I'm listening to stuff by bands like Mastodon, Lamb of God and Gojira.

I second any Motorhead.
Try out some Mudhoney, or better yet Green River.
For you group I would also recommend some Iggy and the Stooges, and maybe even some Alice Cooper. You could even try some Dead Moon, 54/40 is a good Dead Moon song.

Brutal Legend is the reason I'm buying a PS3.

I also cannot believe that I have never heard of Accept before. The song "Fast as a Shark" is one of the greatest and best things I've ever heard.

I'm really digging Motorhead this month, and classic Sabbath.
