grandaddy,

mmj just lost two players, and picked up two long-time fans to replace them. I'm really interested to see the results.

Already April and I have two shows lined up for sure...

Yes (April 17th in San Jose)
Rush (July 11th in Concord)

As you can see, I'm heavily into geeky classic rock 8)

Yeah, I'm going to see 'em too, but tell you the truth I'm a lot more excited about seeing M. Ward open for them. He really kicks ass. A lot.

I went to Stereolab and the Unicorns last week, end of the month I'll be going to Broken Social Scene and Tv on the Radio. The latter I haven't heard yet, but apparently they're the "next big thing." I still bore people telling them all about the time I saw Interpol before they got huge :).

I was at a pretty amazing show this weekend at Spaceland in LA - opening up was Nick from Queens of the Stone Age doing a great acoustic set, and headlining was former Kyuss and current Mondo Generator drummer Brant Bjork and His Bros. - Wonderfully addictive and groovy funky soner rock. Just fucking great.

I was going to see modest mouse over here but an asking price of ?42 I balked.

that's about US$85, which is a chunk.

Actually since getting back to th UK this is the longest I have been without seeing a band in about 7 years.

fuck.

thought i'd update where i been at...

saw FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES with ATREYU about 3 weeks at the Henry Fonda theatre

Then Last week had free tickets and went to the JAGERMEISTER tour at Universal with SLIPKNOT, FEAR FACTORY, CHIMAIRA, and SIX

2 nights ago saw GOGOL BORDELLO with QUAZAR & THE BAMBOOZLES at the troubadour - definately the best show I've been to a while. Gypsy punk makes you dance your ass off...

Gonna get tickets to see Skinny Puppy at the Fonda in July real soon...
