its coming to Toronto during one of Midnight Madness Screening at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Also the animated feature Les Triplettes de Belleville..but that screening is on a Sunday Afternoon..
I will be trying to get tickets for these 2 films..
Plus trying to get tickets for Ridley Scott's Alien..he will be there to speaking about the film and scenes that has never been seen.
I will let you know about what films I do see..like every year I have to get up early to go to the box office on the 3rd of Sept to get tickets..at 14.50 each..:)

I worked on that Alien re-release. The most excited I've been about a project all year. Most of the newer footage looks great and it was nice to work on stuff with directives straight from Ridley Scott. Gave me chills, actually. :)

Cap: Alien's being re-released nationwide in time for Halloween if I'm not mistaken so you'll get yer chance. And later on we're getting a big fat 2 disc dvd set.

HB,
What was put back, the scene where Rippley finds Dallas in the cocoon?

I didn't see the whole cut so I don't know exactly what got added back in. Ridley re-edited the entire film, from what I heard, and basically he trimmed around 10 minutes but added back another 10 minutes. The cut is actually a few seconds shorter than it was before. I don't think whole scenes were cut out, just bits here and there to tighten it up. It was fine before, in my opinion, but for the re-release Ridley felt it was too slow for today's MTV kids.

I'm rather excited to see Undead. Might be ages before this sucker comes to video/DVD around here.

Toronto has become the biggest festival, easily overshadowing Montreal (slightly jealous here. Hrmph!)
Ah well, at least we are both getting "Les Triplettes de Belleville". Yay! I have to go and buy tickets for about 16 people tomorrow morning. Sweeet.
But no sign of Underworld in the program.
There will be a few more animated films apart from Triplettes. I wonder what Toronto has for an animation selection. :?:

I know people or have met alot of people that live for the festival..its like Christmas for them..People take the week off to go to the festival..I have talked to people that do 4 to 5 films per day! My record is only 9 films during the 10 days..

Well the film has been cancelled at the 2 screenings during the festival..I asked why this morning when I got a few tickets for other films I wanted to see..
The film is not done in post-production???
