Searching for the title

[Lester Toil]

Looking for a movie and this is all I can remember about it.

A youngish woman gets in a big bizarre car accident and she undergoes a substantial amount of surgery and therapy. When she recuperates she vows to go to some foreign land to find a monster. Literally a monster. I think it's because she heard he killed her father or someone. She goes and finds the monster and he's a sarcastic character that even wears a suit--at least towards the end. I think she brings him back to civilization and they both become famous.

I don't have a clue of what the name of that movie is. The title is something like "What they said is true". Can anyone help? Much appreciated.

What is it about this movie? There have been multiple "I'm looking for a movie and all I can remember is..." threads in this forum made and they're about this specific movie!

Heh heh heh...Sir, I searched all over this place for that original thread I started years ago and couldn't find a damn thing--and of course I was too embarrassed to tell everyone I asked about this movie back in the day.

LOL...and yes, I will DEFINITELY purchase this puppy and stop pestering you all.
