This is a gold mine
Amazingly retarded things to turn big, green & get weird hair over.

When I was at one of the comic cons. Lou Ferrigno was signing posters, so I wanted to get one for my cube,
he asked, "What name do you want it made out to?"
I said, "Jasen"
he said, "What?"
I said, "JASEN"
he said, "I still didn't hear that."
I said, "J - A - S - E - N"
he's said, "ok" signed it and rolled it up and handed it to me.
I got to work...looked at the poster & its said... "To Jessie" :?

I have a similar story to Jasen.. I saw Lou Ferrigno at comic con a few years ago..

So I asked if he could write it out to my wife (at the time), and have it say " To Leslie, Hugs and Kisses, Love Lou Ferrigno"

... And he shot me this mean look, and said "How about I just write Lou?"
and wrote his signature.. then said "Here you go Wesley"
lol

I thanked him, and tried giving him the mand-shake.. (crushing hand grip) because, a couple times, I'd shake people's hands and they would say "ow!!" ,,, I thought I had the Iron Grip.

He just shot me this "whad the hell do you think yer doin'?" look.. and then he crushed my hand with the greatest of ease, like 'lemme show you how it's done.. My hand almost made a squeeking noise... last time I ever gave a mand shake.

I also saw Julie Newmar the same year, and asked her if she'd write "To Gary Clair, Thanks for the Memories, Love Julie Newmar"

And she said I had to buy a picture that was $20.

I said "It's not $20 funny."

I didn't say it to be mean.. but $20 was a lot of money back then.

$20 is seemingly alot now depending who's atuograph you're getting.
Like Jake Lloyd or the guy who played Nute Gunray.

Although I did have to shell out $20 for a Tom Wopat cd at a performance of Chicago so my wife could meet Luke Duke.

At the Chicago Comic Con I saw "Jaws" (1970's James Bond, villain) Richard Kiel
Image

He got mad at me... He was doing his classic "head crushing move/trademark move" on some little 6 year old Chinese kid, and I wanted to grab a shot of it, cause the kid didn't know what was going on & it was so funny... so I quickly pulled the camera up to my face & looked into the viewer... only to see this enormous Richard Kiel Jaws hand covering my camera shot.
Scared the B-Jesus out of me. (and the C & D Jesus too)

I had the pleasure of picking Lou up at the airport at the last Calgary con. Yes, I feel we're on a first name basis now :P

He's not deaf, but he's definitely hard of hearing. We had a great talk about his strict protein diet, his crappy knees, the city of Calgary, and what he should charge for his autograph. I think he charged $25 for his signature... but I was trying to talk him down to $20, so you don't have to use 2 bills. But he didn't have any of that, and charged $25. Whatevs.

It was pretty funny when we got to the hotel... I was carrying his bags in, that's right, he didn't carry them, and the first thing he asked the concierge was, "Where's the gym?"

OFFBEAT I laughed my ass off at your story!
