wow, 5% on rottentomatoes for such a tent pole picture. I can't believe Nickelodeon messed up this bad with one of their more popular franchises.

The trailers actually made me sorta interested. I guess i'll just watch the tv show then.

Roger Ebert ripped it a bloody, puss-oozing new one. Great read.

The most frustrating thing about it is that there is greatness buried under all that crappy acting and bizarre dialog. I really think this could have been a hit if someone else had written it and Night was strictly behind the camera.

I had a feeling it wasn't going to be my cup of tea, but I'm honestly shocked that people are reacting so negatively towards it. People hate this movie. They really, really fucking hate it.

I think people hate this movie so much because they love the source material. I enjoyed the special effects and element bending scenes. However, the acting was not up to snuff. I remember the scene in which Aang was going back to the air temple thinking all his friends were alive. He was supposed to be very happy. I just did not feel that the Noah Ringer did a convincing job expressing that emotion. There are many other examples involving other actors as well. I blame Shyamalan, he should have done a better job coaching the actors to get the proper emotions.
