Okay, now that the Angelina Jolie speculation has subsided I now keep reading that the Nolan's want MFing CHER to be catwoman, and her role to be rewritten as an aging socialite. Um, should I laugh? I also keep reading they want Depp as the Riddler. I'm not saying I believe it, and I think he's a great actor, I just fear a repeat of his Willy Wonka role.

Where are you reading this stuff? I'm not about to listen to any bullshit casting rumors for a movie that isn't even in production yet.

I swear, haha, I just go to yahoo to use the search engine (yeah fuck you I don't mainly use google), and they keep popping up with assy headlines like this. It's all an evil plan to give me indigestion.

That's not becoming a symbol, that's being suicidal.

Now that I think of it, they actually did show him pick a fight with a bunch of people without thinking in that prison.

The whole training with ninjas thing was to show that he had to think about things before he acts.
And since even those ninjas had some form of protection it would've been a step back in logic if they showed Bruce trying to do his thing wearing only spandex after that wouldn't it?

i strongly agree with this, i think nolan just completely did away of batman being stealthy and mysterious.
they just need a scene with batman chillin at the kripsy kreme doughnuts with the rest of the cops. he did too much with the cops. kinda like the idea of him getting info from gordon, doing some research, him getting the badguy by himself. and then him delivering the bad guy to the cops. not a hard formula.

in my mind. but death race. was good. am i right.

If you guys aren't too busy with entirely useless rumours, an interesting sound article about TDK:

Nice, Benjamin.
Several comments there refer to the score overwhelming the dialogue in places. I didn't get that at all any of the times I saw it (in different theaters, no less). Anybody else have that trouble?

Also! Let's keep this thread alive till the next movie comes out, K?

The 2nd time I saw it, the music was definitely too rich for some of the scenes, but only that one time. I've seen it three other times, all in different theaters so I'm guessing it was particular to the Vista (in the Los Feliz part of town).

Here's a question for the group: how did Batman know where Harvey was keeping the phony cop he threatened to shoot? Did he somehow trace the ambulance, or is this one of those movie things we're not supposed to question?

Saw it in IMAX yesterday, wow this movie is almost perfect. I like the small screaching noise they have for the joker each time one of his scheme's comes into play.
