This article makes me want to a) do my own version immediately or b) never do this, ever. I can't decide which. But it's cool to see them all like this...

The thing is, a LOT of those covers (especially the comics ones) are direct riffs on the For Your Eyes Only poster, so I don't really know what the article is trying to assert. Neat images, though.

Clearly. But it's not the first movie poster to do it. And it's also clear that the motif goes back many more decades.

I don't think it's trying to say anything other than "hey, look...the same thing in all this stuff. Neat."
