I know a Dutch site called bol.com, I'm not sure if you can change the language to english but the site pretty much works like amazon. I'm not sure if they ship to australia though, and what about the british amazon?

Jaques Tardi is another European master. I love his style but I don't have a lot of his books because some of his stories are a bit too weird for my taste. But his comics about privated detective Nestor Burma are great!

The way he inks is amazing, very understated. At first it might look a litle crude but when you take a closer look you'll find that his work is very solid.

Damn, I guess I missed those last updates...

I'm glad to see people still care about this thread, I never imagined this would do so well!
I want to show you some stuff by Daan Jippes. At the moment he's helping me out with my internship. It is my dream to become a story artist and he used to work for Disney, Amblimation and WB so he sure can tell me a lot.

A lof of this stuff is from the Dutch comic magazine PEP, which existed in the late 60's and early 70's. Jippes can work in almost every style, he is a true master. I think it is tooo bad he made only so few of "his own" comics, he drwe Asterix, Gaston and he is mentioned as one of the best Donald Duck artistst since Carl Barks.

enough talk, look at the pretty pic's!

Ha! Now I suddenly can see the previous pics, great posts Sir Spamdalot!

Funny to see Henk Kuipers here, I used to love Franka when I was in high school (for obvious reasons) but the last 10 years he made some of the worst Franka Albums, childish plots and softcore porn. Not a good combination...

That Gabrielle stuff is awesome!

This is some work from French master LAX. He made some comics about private detective Le choucas (in Dutch these were pulished as de Kraai which means the crow)

He also published a very good double album about the French war in Algeria in the 50's Azrayen. I have seen some of his earlier work and I didn't like it but his owrk of the past 10/ 15 years is great!
