THE PINK MINK!

Postby SLAM BRADLEY » Mon May 05, 2003 7:30 am

Just a reminder that this Wednesday sees the arrival of
Wolverine/Doop, "The Pink Mink" in your friendly neighbourhood comic store. Here's an unused cover comp, and if my lazy-ass partner Mr. Bone gets to it, he'll post some preview pages.

Milligan rules!

Dar

Picked it up today. Big kudos go out to the Slammer and J. Bone. Great work fellas!

By the way Darwyn, I like your Toth/Kirby idea and look forward to reading it. Thought I'd post that here instead of the thread that never dies.

Outstanding stuff, fellas.

Dar - your storytelling skills are really inspiring. The whole sequence where Wolverine busts into the Collector's joint is so well done, very dynamic.
I think my favorite panel is the one with the sliced up gun and glasses flying through the air. It just says so much with so little.

Also the top of page 7 - with Wolvie slicing the sarcophagus as the henchman trails him with machine gun fire - wonderful stuff.

I could go on, but I gush too much.

Well done, guys, can't wait for part two.

I think this was one of the best books I have bought in a long time, just plain fun, great storytelling. Nice job, thanks for not making me "waste" money.

D-
What you refer to as your "gimicks" are what makes this book such a nice and mentally stimulating comic experience. The way you echo your visuals and develop your themes (visually) is just astounding. This is what i'm talking about! Keep kickin it, ill keep reading it. Good form as usual. Thanks also for another lesson, and an enjoyable read.
-S
