Stage 4 - 1 hour approx

I've pretty much finished the face and hair, started on the shoulder area, and added some cooler colour into the background to contrast with the warmer figure.

8) getting there real good ,Euan.
There's something about the size of her eyes
that may reinforce the likeness though....
She usualy seems to be looking "beyond" the camera,
which causes her eyes to be slightly exorbited and her pupils
to be slightly divergant;making her look in some kind of a daze, sometimes.

You can totaly disagree with me, my smart and talented friend.

By the way, i really enjoy witnessing this "step by step" .

She looks wonderful, Euan! I can't believe how rough and simple it starts out! I always temd to over-render right from the start.

RodGuen - There was something niggling me about the eyes, and you nailed it. I've made some slight adjustments to them, which I think have improved it (even though I don't know what "exorbited" means  )

Tangent Queen - Yeah, rough and simple - that's me :D

Thanks also to BlueHarp411 (good to have you back with us, Jill), johnnyB, walrus, Pato, Captain No Shoes, StudioBueno, youngatart and PEDROSCOPE

Stage 5 - 1.5hrs approx

I've adjusted the eyes slightly following Rod's advice, and just generally continued to refine the body and dress some more.

In the background, as well as increasing the cooler colour, I've added some small areas of other colour, known as discords. These are colours that are equidistant on a colour wheel from the dominant hue and each other and, if used sparingly, can add visual excitement. As the dominant colours are in the pink/purple/blue region, the discords in this case are orange/yellow and blue/green. I've kept them fairly subtle, so as not to overpower the rest of the picture.
