please excuse me.
i clicked on the thumbnail and thought it was a picture
posted for comments.the drawing jam I understand is for
the pleasure of seeing everyones interpretation of a
subject.

i was just struck by the fact that those feet didn't really match
the rest of the piece and i thought they could benefit from a
little more attention....but like I said the drawing jam I don't think
is the place for such speculations.

Hello, as always I'm very happy about new subject :)

Thorsten Hasenkamm: great style!
walrus: awsome, where can I learn to sketch like that? :)
n69n: I like your style, but for me these shadows are not fit very well, they do not build muscles even in symbolic way. Maybe on purpose? I like it anyway.
gbillustration: great one as always

leander fantastic! i like the way you used photoshop to get a real "painted" feeling...I never get that right in photoshop.
n69n he is fun to draw isn?t he...like your first the most.
piecekeeper great one...like it
Thorsten like your Arnie the most...great job
Walrus fantastic...as always :D

Somehow almost everyone makes Arnie funnie.. I found out myself that it is almost impossible to make a serious illustration of him..

Come on, where's everybody's art? Let's make this thread as big as the last Masuimi-jam...or is it because this time it's not a naked girl??? Don't get me wrong, I love drawing women, but if you ONLY draw women it gets boring...so this thread is a great start to jams with more different drawing subjects/objects...

OK Thorsten!
Good to have a bit of variety in the jams. (plus, men are easier to draw than women...)
I too was going to do a comedy type pic, I can't look at arnie without thinking of Rainer Wolfcastle (UP AND AT THEM!!!!)
So i did a moody arnie:

I'm with you Thorsten, drawing just girls can get stale after a while, its a nice breath of fresh air to get some male models for a change.

That said, here's my contribution so far... at least till I can get around to working on it some more...

Thorsten Hasenkamm: Very amusing work -- I could easily see your Arnie animated! I like the color test you did with the toap (dare I say PINK) background ... something nice about those strong white silouettes against a solid color background. Very appealing to me.
suryrony: I'm just as curious as Walrus about the Yamika ... Maybe I can make a guess? The first thing that struck me with the REF image of that pose was that he was doing the Naztee salute -- hence, I didn't choose that pose - just rubbed me the wrong way. Did you add the Yamika to push the irony even further ? Jus' curious.
da peacekeeper: You should continue this drawing -- flesh out the rest and ink that bad boy up -- you seem not to be too afraid of ink. You've got an appealing start going on there ...
Walrus: You slacker! You're supposed to cough out camera-ready artwork in a half day bub! *lol* I definately think the ruff-clean on the left is the best of the bunch. Consider finishing off that drawing ... you have TWO weeks!
draw_man: You've got a good start going -- you fleshed out each REF image which is quite curageous. I'd only suggest you spend less time in the beginning drawing the detail and spend more time nailing the primary volumes and their proportion to eachother.

... Here's my post -- thought I'd give it a go .... C&C welcome.
(on reflection, since we have two weeks, I'll likely refine this more and post an update at some point) I'd like to take this a bit further --

cheers,
Sammy
