Formless Characters - Need help

Hey Guys,

I am given an assignment to develop a character which is formless and evloved from minerals. The character have to be a tiny little one floating in air. The character could also take shape of any natural form. I tried few attempts but couln't click well. Kindly help me with soem references, Till now, I know the character - Morph from Treaure Planet of a bit similarity.

I think the major point is irregular shape, may be nearly transparent :P

No! Actually it is supposed to be a creature. By the way I am attaching my concept art shortly.

If you are drawing creatures there are all sorts of them in Ghost Busters and Man in Black cartoons. :wink:
