My Life as a Teenage Robot Request

Postby Hugo » Wed Mar 29, 2006 1:27 pm

Hi,

I'm Hugo. I've been a member here for a long time and huanted this place since the two dancing girls were on the webpage. I too am sorry to see MLAATR go off the air. But, the execs at Nick don't know what they are doing. Granted at the San Diego Comic Con Ron Renzetti didn't get as many fans turn out to see him as did the creator of say Sponge Bob Squarepants but, in my opinion the fault is mostly Nickelodeon's marketing of MLAATR or rather the lack there of. If you live in the United States like I do and watch any amount of Nick's programming you'll notice MLAATR wasn't given much marketing at all. Although, I haven't had cable in a while and never used satelite so, I don't know what marketing strategyNick is going on now. The really cool shows seem to go off the air and really sucky ones stay on. Not that I'm against Sponge Bob. I like Sponge Bob. After having a hard day at school or work watch that show and you'll right as rain. But, "My Life as a Teenage Robot" is in my opinion a much better show. And, since "Hugo" is not my real name I'm gonna confess something to all of you. When I was a small lad there was a show called "Small Wonder" about a robot girl created by the a man and she "lived" with him and his family. Eversince then I've wanted my own robot girl-friend. So, when I saw "My Life as a Teenage Robot" for the first time and heard Jenny's voice I fell in love. Yeah, I know... this coming from a grown man about a cartoon character. Oh, well. The show is still a success to me. :D

I think the cartoon network show is Robot Boy or something like that... I saw it once and was done with it..... Astro Boy is an Old Anime cartoon ( same premise but made in the 1950's then remade in the 80's ... I have the box set.. they'rre fun to watch) Anyhow.. MLAATR was a really gorgeous show beautiful designed BG's and great colors.. I wasn't always thrilled with the character designs but overall it was fun.. I think it'll be a while before too many design sheets get filtered out, as nobody is really SUPPOSED to let anything leak out .. they do get out.. but it takes a bit... anyhow... Hopefully we'll see those in the future!
