"Planner Man" character design

Postby pointblank27 » Sun Mar 28, 2004 11:17 am

Hmmm..... whether to put this in the Superheroes section or Model Sheets.... Anyway, here goes.

Here are the results of my last project at my last job (at a career education company). Planner Man will battle "Dr. Chance and other ne'er-do-wells that guide people off the proactive path. His high-gloss utility belt is more than just a tasteful fashion statement -- it is packed with powerful proactive gear, including a Career Plan Builder and a Portfolio."

My guidelines were to come up with a male superhero character, somewhat exaggerated, with a utility belt, etc... He is always confident, has no alter ego, is usually smiling.

This was a lot of fun to do. Any C&C would be appreciated:

Nice work, Neil, although those shadows & highlights would scare the crap out of me if I was animating him. Then again that's my inexperience talking. Solid drawings, brudder.

haha oh man those are some awesome lookin' models. I love the classic, over-the-top "good guy" superhero look, complete with cheesy smile. Nice job on the coloring/shading, too!
