5/16/2007 - Mars Needs Women
One of the goals of the Starbound paper-and-pencil RPG is to make a game that's vaguely accessable to women: A nice streamlined game system that doesn't get bogged down with minutia, ways to interact with folks other than just shooting them, and hopefully, some races that they might be interested in playing. So we're trying to make some races that will appeal to our Merket Survey Focus Testing Group (which is the girlfriend of one of our designers.) The goal is something you can feel sexy playing but not way out there in terms of alien-ness (unlike, say, the insectile race I'm also doing sketches of this week.) So here are some shots at something non-human but still distinctly feminine:

And yes, they're all nude because that's how I start off designing all my aliens, not just the sexy(?) ones.
