5/3/2007 - For the birds
More alien sketches, this one for a bird-like alien race (but lacking a beak, to make it a little different.) If you look in earlier posts you can see the prototype for this guy. (It was labelled the K'avo, but we already had an alien race called the K'shree. Major rule of ours: No two alien races in the game should start with the same letter. They're hard enough to keep track of as is, giving them too-similar names would just be mean.) Anyhow, I went and did a bunch of exploratory sketches to bounce around some further ideas. The one we're "keeping" is in the upper left.
