I admire Baby Cat. Even at this youthful age, she's certain she wants to be a stunt-cat when she grows up. She's been asking me allll day if i can break that glass milk jar over her head. (( Yesterday it was a red ikea chair )) And in case you're wondering: YES, she is available for hire if you're in need of a stunt double.

...Oh crap, the breaking-of-the-glass-over-her-head did not go as planned o.0 She's bleeding all over my newly-acquired white towels, now. Great, today's gonna suck big-time: i just can't eat cereal without milk; 'frikken IMPOSSIBLE!! It's like eating rocks. AND that luxurious white towel was actually borrowed from a close friend who happens to be a rare-towel collector. ...ugh. /:P
(( "Baby Cat" is a nickname. 'No ID-tags, 'though 90% sure "My Toy Creation Co." is the maker; circa 1960's. She was purchased from eBay. ))

ps: do NOT try this at home. 'breaking glass bottles over your kitten's head is probably not a good idea, .....no matter how much it begs you to do it.

Ah yes, the Great Pyramid....an amazing feat of ancient engineering, with an estimated 300,000 people constructing this wonder in the blistering desert heat....
SNORE.
Seriously, who's impressed with this crap? "OH, LOOK AT ME! I'M A GIANT MOUND OF DIRT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT"! Nothing special there folks. But here's the thing. The people that built this were onto something. They might've failed bigtime with that there triangular piece of mud, but it paved the way for something much more important. Something, even BIGGER. And I found it.
Behold, the real 7th Wonder of the World, Pyramid Mickey!!!!

He really does hog that thing.

Perhaps if the real Great Pyramid was covered in soft fur, had pac-man eyes, big floppy ears, and a cute lil button nose, then maybe...JUST MAYBE....i'd be impressed. But leave it to the techinal geniuses somewhere in Japan to design the REAL pyramid. OH and look! Pyarmid Mickey is playing the SNES again! Of course! It's his faaaavorite thing to do! Awww....

He really does hog that thing.

Robo-Bambi (( see Part 1 )) is state-of-the-art: he has a built-in polaroid camera, of course. ....AND a scanner on his metal ass.
Within 3.2894 seconds of sitting on this photo, it was all over the internet; much to Mickey's humiliation o.0
Outraged, he sent out Mr. Biteysaur to
eliminate Pinnochio....

These 2 sets are a good representation of how Japanese Disney toys are significantly more FUN and quirky than most anything Disney-related you can find sold here in the states.
In contrast to the above posted photos: THIS line-up; a parade of redundant "here I am" poses.... is horribly boring, generic, and uninspired... and it's (( most unfortunately )) an accurate representation of Mickey trinkets available in local shops.

Howie will be chiming in soon with his own examples....
Feel free to dispute this! ...we encourage discussing such important topics. Are there any well-designed Disney toys out there right now? Show us!

Ok! I just wanted to get these out of the way because we took these pictures a while ago:
This Mickey is made by Medicom, a kickass Japanese toy company. I picked this up on my trip to Japan, but he can now be found on KidRobot...at least he was there, i dunno...I'm too lazy to go check. He's part of the whole "Modern Pets" theme that Disney in Japan has. Yeah, yeah, "why can't we have this crap in America?!" I know. SO FRUSTRATING. This Mickey's pretty big too, probably like 6-7 inches, and vinyl. Gotta love his blue hat, which gives a nice contrast to the typical Mickey colors. Even the box is cool, complete with a great simple/easy to read design. Which makes me wonder: what the hell happened to good box art?! It died with good toy design, of course! The graphic Mickey drawing and a white background is all you need:
Holy smokes, who is that miniature beauty next to the box?! That Minnie was given me to me by a friend who got her from a capsule machine in Japan. (Do I have to keep mentioning all this stuff comes from Japan? It should be obvious by now!) Here's a better pic:
Look at how the design is pushed. Her graceful pose, chin up, and her giant exaggerated bow. Nice! I have the paper it came with but I, uh, lost it. It lists the other toys in the series. When I find it, I'll post it.
I think this just about does it for Disney for now. Unless ya want more...??
