9/12/2006 - about The Study.
the internet is such a great tool. thank god for al gore for inventing it . i've had a very rough and troublesome summer, the one thing i could still do was spend pennies on printing books i've downloaded from the web , and study with those books (and others , i've bought - thank you mr' caldwell) ,compare between diffrent methods and learn about myself during the process of study.
I started with "fun with pencil" by andrew loomis. a semi-sirious book that taught me a lot about construction , and kinda gives you a pre-lesson for cartooning for animation. it's a wonderfull book and out of all the books i've looked at recently this was the most easy to approach and start with and also was the most clear and "educationaly" effective. loomis knows what he's teaching , he knows how to teach it, and i can't wait to further examine his books.
i've also recently (like 2 days ago) started the 1,000,000 $$$ lesson of john k. \ preston blair curse from the animation archive \john k vault of ideas. it's fun and very easy , mainly due to the loomis book i've been learning his methods. anyway the John k idea (like the name) is that you can spend 20$ on a book and learn lessons from it that a college student wouldn't learn in 4 years or a life time. i agree.
loomis books - download the loomis books --------> here!
1000000 $$$ lessons - take a look at the john k based on preston blair book .
i'll show works as soon as i'll get over the psychological barrier i have about using my PC in my room. that's where the scanner is.
more about books and learning soon.
