New project on the go, between projects... I'm waiting approval on the kangaroo colouring book sketches before I post them, so in the meantime I started a new illustration for the '08 calendar. I decided on some dorky looking birds, so I started with little thumbnail sketches to get the layout going, and narrowed it down to this:

I'll have two regular little birds on each side of a giant, rather confused makaw. Funny. I started out with the two birds on the right, in a more realistic style:

I then screwed with them until I came out with these guys, a little more suited for the calendar:
