July 19, 2005 - SDCC Pictures

After a long wait in line to get into Preview night, we got into the Convention room.
Preview night was fun. Got to scope out all the booths I wanted to visit and got to meet Josh Middleton and we (my brother and I) got two pages from him.

I am the one in the back!

Over the next few days, I visited Corpse Bride booth and Dreamworks Booth, which Over the Hedge  looksreally good and so does Corpse Bride. I loved watching the animatoranimate characters on the large set they had at the booth.

I went by Tower Records which had the Gorillaz toys, which teempted me, but I didn't have the time to wait in line.

The DC ooth must have been the largest booth at the con. Marvel had alarge one, but it was part of Activision. Activision took up a lot ofspace while marvel had two small corners.

There is a comic called Block Heads, well I met the creators of it andthey were also twins, so we bought all four issues and got them signedby them.

My mom, parents came with me since they payed for the large trip, talked to Neal Adams for a while, 10- 15 minutes, and "butted" in lineto get a picture of Jim Lee.

Oh and I won a Catwoman action figure :)

July 18, 2005 - SDCC and more!

Well, well, well... San Diego Comi-Con 2005 was very exciting and scary atthe same time. I laughed at the scary people who dressed up in crazycostumes.

I met a few very nice artists (Not saying there aren't more) . JoshMiddleton is one of the kindest people I met at the Convention, alongwith Jae Lee, he was at the EA booth sketching for people. I got anElektra sketch, he was was extremely nice and down to earth. I had achat with him about the recent Elektra movie. Two very nice guys.

I met a set of twins who created a comic called BlockHeads. Very nice guys.

I made my way down to artist alley and met Sean Galloway, who is alsoextremely kind and I got a sketch of Daredevil from him when I boughtone of his sketchbooks.

I passed Sketch Book Sessions booth, but didn't get to talk with anyone since I only know one of the people there.

In all, the week was great. I met some of my favorite artists, bought art, and relaxed.

Oh and I also saw Paula Abdul at Starbucks
in the LAX Airport :)
