When Maiya calls you up and asks if you'd like to be a zombie extra an a kooky 30's-style low budget film, you just don't say 'no'. Seriously.
'Ok, so lemmie share our adventures....
Maiya's house is like a costume warehouse; she had bins and bins of really awesome clothes from years of raiding various trift stores.We picked out our Zombie attire and headed to the set; Rob and Howie came along for the fun.
This masterpiece-in-the-making was filmed on El Matador Beach. As we were walking down the pathway onto the beach... it was fairly easy to spot the crew seeing as they were all dressed like elegant corpses:
Several beach-goers were amused with our shenaddegans. In the photo above, our Zombie pal is politely asking the guy if he can dine on the kid's brains.
Here are a few pictures of Maiya before the zombie make-up ( she likes to climb )...
Oh, i found a really AWESOME helmet at Maiya's place; 'too bad i couldn't wear it in the movie.... but i wore it everywhere else...

This set wasn't catered..... and eight hours of walking around as an undead made me pretty hungry :P
Half-way through the day, the director/lead zombie, Cosmo, get's this crazy idea:
"Oh! I got it!!! We need a Russian zombie!!! Yeah!! That'd be funny, right?!"
After a 2-second audition, Howie gets the part.
Hehehe.... a jewish russian zombie holding a bottle of japanese beer. You'll only see it here, people :)

, only much less colorful, bigger, and about 4% more practical.
