November 18, 2005 - Watchin' DvD's
Well I decided that as my life is not very
exciting right now, that I would go rent a couple of dvd's. The first
was the latest adaption of 'War of the Worlds' of course the big
problem was Cruise as he is the most craptacular actor around and I put
him in the Michael Jackson 'WackJobs' Fan Club. The movie while having
its moments during the scenes of the Tripods killing everyone was not
terribly good. But when it came to Cruise in a very tense scene of
being captured by these alien ships then being grabbed to be made into
weed manure he was sucked into what could be best described as a 'Giant
Anus' Bwahahahah. Oh god did I laugh I know you weren't supposed to but
gee did they have to make it look like human anatomy.
This brought me back a few years to Tim Burtons film 'Sleepy Hollow' a
good film until you get to the Haunted tree thats a gateway to hell and
when it opens up and spreads it Branches to reveal a 'Giant Pu...' but
wait this is getting vulgar. I'm all for organic look but getting to
look realistic is ridiculous!! 
The second dvd 'Stone Cold' stated on the box that 'if you loved
insomnia you'll love this' and 'From the director of the Hitcher'
instead it starred a 60 year old Tom Selleck sporting what I believe to
be a Black toupee' as a sherriff in a small town where a serial killer
is on the loose. Unfortunatley it looked more like a pilot tv show than
a psychological thriller which they couldn't sell to the networks so
they put it on dvd to try and catch unsuspecting idiots like me to pick
it up. Selleck should just go back and do what he does best 'Magnum PI'
I think the movie is still in the works!! Hawaiin Shirts... Hooray!!

Infact, Stone Cold was on TV. I saw it there. It is more a TV show then a DVD movie.
I might need to pass on War of the Worlds. I was thinking of renting it, but Cruise in it makes me nervous. |
