NUTS AND BOLTS!

May 6, 2007 - I SAW SPIDER-MAN 3

I know I promised this update a couple of days ago, however some stuff happened out of my control.

Yes, I saw Spider-Hyphon-Man 3. And with all the Hoo HaH from Critics saying how awful it was I have to say I really enjoyed this movie so what the hell is wrong with you people!!!! Sure its got its problems including massive plotholes, Bad Acting, underused characters and too much mushy mushy romance BUT it was a good flick and its FUCKING SPIDER-MAN!!! He KICKS ASS!!! I'm going to buy the DVD for sure and if you want to hear more about what I thought of Spidey3 then I am going to be talking about it with a special guest on my uncut Podcast #2 coming very soon. And ANY superhero movie is BETTER than SUPERMAN RETURNS!! YUCK!!

So with Keeping in the Spidey3 fever, Heres a Picture I did earlier in the year that I left on my desktop and it collected dust while I worked out what was wrong. There is so much wrong I just don't where to start so I decided to not even bother and just forget about it and move on. But being an art blog with rarities is what this page is all about. And there will be more coming soon.

On thursday night after spending the day going to see Spider-Man 3 my Cel Phone promptly rang where it was the animation company Blue Rocket Productions. Now as you know all too well I have recently BLASTED and MALIGNED this animation facility for it lacklustre inventiveness and the way they handle their business affairs especially when going about hiring employees. Being Funded by the Tasmanian Government and hiring from other countries and states This company is NOT Tasmanian.

As a recap A few months back I put in for a position as a character designer there and was promptly told SORRY You were unsuccessful and there were too many applicants when in fact I know that they didn't have any at all!! It was a bare faced lie!! So imagine my suprise when they called thursday and wanted me to be an assistant character designer WOW I thought this is to good to be true..........and it was. I so hate being right.

So on Friday morning I started work at the only Animation Facility in Tasmania, welcomed by about 99% of the good non-tasmanian people that work tirelessly there and then finding out I'm promptly sacked at its closing of the day. Why you may ask ?? Well I still don't know!!

It could have been the fact that they didn't want a assistant character designer at all but want someone to trace and animate ready characters in Flash 8. or....

It could have been that the dude with the glasses (still no idea who he was I'm guessing the bosshog as he never introduced himself) nor even 'spoke' to me during the entire day. Just didn't want me to work there and maybe he just wanted to sack someone!!

So after I was promptly 'Dismissed' I decided on a few things

1. if I ever get to work for a Professional Animation Company I'm going to make it my MISSION to Destroy Blue Rocket and make sure that the 'dude with the glasses' will never find any animation work again in his lifetime he's going to be living in sewers and eating live rats on a spitroast with turds as a sidedish.

2. If every Animation Company is run by a Monkey then I don't want to work for it.

3. Maybe I should just take the hint from God above and just not do this stuff anymore, I get nothing but bad luck following stupid dreams.

So that night I met up with an old friend I had 5 pints of Draught Beer thats about 120 FL OZ all up folks, Started to talk like Jack Sparrow and then relieved myself on their front door step. (I made that last bit up but I wanted too!!)

BUT on a much MUCH Happier note, This VERY Art-blog has made Alberto's Blog Book to be published in July so that means some much needed Publicity for me, so thanks to Alberto!!
