February 22, 2007 - Internet Vs Freedom
So I know its been well over a week since my last few posts, I wouldn't want you guys to miss me or anything. Heaven forbid.
I have very limited internet access at the moment as I have been reduced to piddling dial-up speeds. Which aren't enough to even just chug through my email. But atleast that gives me plenty of time to actually go outside and enjoy Life and the little freedom I have.
Recently I have been educated that some have just become totally entranced and live through the internet if something bad happens in cyberspace this is the ' End OF The World' in their eyes.I mean its the internet not real-life. Although I do enjoy the interaction from you guys and girls. I see you guys as colleagues and friends with similar interests in common like Fine Animation, Art, Movies and Ideas. In a way I have alot more in common with you my cyber friends than my real friends. But ALL People need interaction with flesh and blood going out to lunch going to the movies having fun. Now to some what I've just said won't make any sense but lets say over the last few days I have learnt a very valuable lesson that I won't make. Learning from anothers past experience.
On the job front last week I was prepping some samples for a company, I'm kinda waiting on the verdict.
Next Week I'm supposed to go to a concentration camp for losers and I just wanna enjoy what time I have left.
I know that last sentence 'No-One' is going to get et all. But lets just say if a miracle doesn't occur within the next few days I'm going to have to spend my time sitting with smelly people in a non-air conditioned room on Monday until I'm cutting the guts out of fish. Okay now I'm just confusing people so I'll move on.
Onto another topic and Mignola killed Roger, I can't believe it. I got a hold of the latest BPRD issues and well Rogers just dead never to return. What a stupid idea. I knew that Mignola had lost the plot with his 'Romance Movie' But why get rid of the only character I actually liked in the team. Abe was cool but he sought of lost his shine over time. But old Roger was a great character. Stupid idea Really.
I am still considering doing podcast 10, unfortunately the guy who normally does it with me. Made all these appointments and didn't keep one Now he's gone to Japan today. But I've had requests for it so I'm going to see if I can't just make something happen.
Cheers to Kristen, John and Sarah for the kind words after last weeks atrocity. I hope to return with good news very soon. As well as some new art as soon as possible and Sorry if this post seems a bit everywhere I'm kinda half asleep and about to go to bed.
