January 4, 2006 - I AM DOOM!!
Don't know about you but I was religiously
into the Fantastic Four in the early 90's and then again recently
during Mike Wieringo's art run. Anyway I just saw the movie 'it sucked'
well not as much as Daredevil but still awful acting, but that may have
been the fault of the stupid script they had to work with the naff
direction. ONE thing that bothers me is the sensless fucking up of
brilliant material in the name of Political Correctness. I'm sorry if
this comes off as racist but seriously how can they justify turning a
white character into a black character. Even a small non-character like
alicia masters jesus what were they thinking as soon as she showed up I
almost turned off the movie. Alicia was my favourite background
characters in the comics and this really made my blood boil after
seeing how they treated her in this shite of a movie.
Jessica Alba can't act but atleast she's nice to look at is she
latin??. The truth of the matter is if you don't have faith in the
original source material then you really shouldn't be making a movie
about it. SIMPLE.
There are lots of ways this movie could have gone it just seemed to be
scenes strung together to get to the end quicker. There was no Plot but
whats new with that?? I haven't seen a good plot line since lord of the
rings and that was dumbed down for the masses from the books.
Okay enough of my tirade after seeing the movie I got in the mood to
draw Doctor Doom played by a crap actor who's the son of a
Australian Prime Minister and was married to Danni Minogue for a while.
I can't remember his name but who cares anyway heres the first NEW
piece of artwork I have done for the start of a new year its not
completely finished theres still some tweaking to be done hence no
official post on the board yet with it, I hope you like it anyway!!

I fucking LOVE the Fantastic Four, (even though I haven't read them with any regularity since... ever.) As such, I'm scared to see the movie. Jessica Alba was actually just fine in Sin City, but if she's not playing a whore, I don't think she should be acting. Everything about this movie made me group it in with DD and Punisher, (the latter of which I passed judgement on without seeing).
Didn't see it, don't wanna.
