December 27, 2005 - Why I Love Ebay Part Two and other stuff
Well I was bound to get to this second part
at some point hehe And I just wanted to point out that sometimes you
can find pre loved stuff there too. For many years I have been a fan of
the Puppet shows of Gerry Anderson and The figure you see below is an
action figure/doll of one of those shows entitled Captain Scarlet and
the Mysterons. When you press his chest he says three catchphrases and
his shoulder pads light up. This was a Discarded figure that people
obviously just wanted to get rid of and I am very happy to take it off
their hands. He's in very good care and he was very cheap too so that
had something to do with my decision to buy him.
Also went shopping yesterday for the post christmas sales. Landed in
Harvey Norman the most expensive place on the planet to see what and if
any Computer bargains were to be had. I had been wanting a new computer
scanner for ages and they had marked down a All-in-One HP
printer/scanner for less than a hundred so I grabbed it with the money
I earned doing casual. Now that I have it expect more sketches to be
posted here in future now I have something to capture them with.
Haven't tried the printer part out yet maybe when I get more time.
Heres a shot of it though once I actually installed the thing onto my
PC after a painful hour.
So after Buying the new printer I realised I was in such a rush to get
out and away from the oncoming crowds I hadn't seen the games
department and ran back in. While looking around at all the outrageous
prices for the games I could so easily buy cheaper elsewhere. I noticed
that on the sale wall was Prince of Persia2 Warrior Within for the XBOX
which was only $30 although its price sticker on the box said it
was $75. So anyway I grabbed it took it to the counter and the girl
said it was $50. So I replied it says 30 on the wall so she rolled her
eyes back into her head not giving a care and corrected the price
as she obviously didn't want to work that day and just wanted to get it
done. After that I got to thinking and went back to check the price
where I found way down in very small lettering was Warrior Within
$30...... When buying any xbox accessory.
I don't know why but I felt really GUILTY like the police were going to
come and arrest me.. This lasted about 30 seconds and then I quickly
scampered out of the building. However it has played on my mind
although I innocently paid for the item I did get something for almost
nothing. But then I think well I have been ripped off so many times by
Harvey Norman not to mention all those bugs my PSP I bought there had
and they gave me the brush off. I really think that they won't miss
that other $20 since they had so many people there at the sale.
Would you feel Guilty??
