It'd been a while since I'd tackled a classic superhero...

This ended up looking not so classic, mainly because I changed the costume colors quite a bit. I'm still not quite satisfied with the final image, I see a lot of room for improvement, especially in the background. Strangely enough, some posters on the forums tend to be more critical towards the character and prefer the background. Go figure...

Anyway it seems like I really can't draw just a "standard" superhero these days! I have a couple of "batman : ensemble" illustrations in the works, and maybe even a short story offering a rather unique take on the Dark Knight... hopefully it will be at least half as fun drawing it as it was imagining it!

hehe emcee you certainly are the biggest contributor to this blog (after me of course)!

Michael, actually, the final linework I use is the pencil. I can't seem to have much skills when it comes to inking and brushes... thanks for stopping by!
